My long-term goal is to revive the movie musical in the United States. I miss the films of Gene Kelley, Fred Astaire, and Ginger Rogers. My current dance film influences include the work of Carlos Saura and Jacques Demy.

I am passionate about documentary and narrative film. I have worked in documentary and how-to programming for television, and independently produced a feature documentary, "The People of the Rock: Llanitos of Gibraltar" (2009). Another short documentary film I produced, "What Is Honor?" won "Best Documentary 2006" at the SHAscars at Brigham Young University.

Also passionate about narrative fiction, I began making narrative films around age 12. My first accepted film festival entry, "El Toro" (1997), whet my appetite for telling stories to theater audiences. As producer of the short film, I was the youngest to present at the theater. The film later ran on local television for the following six months. I loved the process; I was hooked.
